Donors and providers meeting in Kazakhstan

    The EAG in cooperation with the Financial Monitoring Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan held the Donors and Providers Meeting in order to coordinate the technical assistance provided to the country to address the shortcomings identified in the Mutual Evaluation Report and included in the Technical Assistance Plan for the country.

    The meeting was attended by representatives of the International Training and Methodological Centre for Financial Monitoring, the Eurasian Development Bank, the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe, the World Bank, the Asian Development Bank, the US Embassy, the British Embassy, the Ministry of European and Foreign Affairs of France, the New Zealand Police, the Royal United Services Institute and the ECOFEL Programme of the Egmont Group.

    During the meeting, the participants discussed the points of the plan and identified donors and providers who were willing to provide technical assistance to the country. The donors and providers, together with the Financial Monitoring Agency, defined the conditions for the implementation of the technical assistance and determined the availability of the required resources. 

    Following the results of the meeting, the Plan for the Provision of Technical Assistance to the Republic of Kazakhstan was finalized and sent to the donors and providers for coordination of its implementation.
