MANDATE FOR THE WORKING GROUP ON TYPOLOGIES (WGTYP)

Membership/Term

The Working Group on Typologies is to be established for the term of two years with the possibility to prolong the mandate when it expires. The WGTYP membership is open to all EAG members, observers in the EAG, FSRBs as well as to relevant experts in the sphere of money laundering and terrorism financing.

Tasks

The Working Group will:
1. upon Plenary decisions develop, assess and prepare documents on typologies and related information on vulnerable points of AML/CFT measures being taken, for their use when preparing actions of EAG and its members
2. develop and prepare documents on typologies for publication and e-spreading
3. upon Plenary decisions develop as necessary EAG documents on certain issues
4. participate in preparation for annual seminars on typologies
5. to cooperate with the private sector on the typologies research projects

Reporting

1. The Working Group will provide reports to each EAG Plenary meeting.
2. The information on current WGTYP material and Final Reports of the WGTYP will be open to all EAG members and observers at the secure WEB-site.
