Training
Staff training is one of the core lines in technical assistance programs implemented as part of EAG.
Training is provided both using own resources of EAG member states through internships at financial intelligence units of other states and experience sharing and using the resources of states and organizations with EAG observer status.
Training seminars are conducted for:
- employees of financial intelligence units of EAG member states and some EAG observer states;
- employees of law enforcement and oversight agencies of EAG member states;
- parliament members in EAG member states.
Since 2005, EAG has been holding trainings for assessors that take part in mutual evaluations of national AML/CFT systems of EAG member states. Such seminars are conducted with contributions by experts of the FATF, UNODC, World Bank and IMF, as well as EAG observer states.
Active use is made of the capabilities of the International Training and Methodology Centre for Financial Monitoring for training representatives of financial intelligence units, other interested ministries and authorities of EAG member states, as well as private sector organizations.
