In the course of the visit V.Zubkov met with the Prime minister of Uzbekistan S. Mirzieev, the Chairman of the Legislative Chamber of Youli Mazhilis as well as the Prosecutor General and heads of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Council on National Security, Ministry of Justice, Central Bank.
The topics discussed during these meetings mainly concerned the development of the EAG and participation of Uzbekistan in this work, the provision of technical assistance to Uzbekistan in setting up the national AML/CFT systems, training of specialists, provision of methodological and other assistance in the EAG framework, as well as issues of Russian-Uzbek cooperation.
The on-site visit of the EAG Chairman to Tajikistan has been rescheduled for the 3rd quarter of 2006.
