Evaluators' training

Mutual evaluations of the EAG member-state AML/CFT regimes' compliance with international standards are carried out by assessors who are experts in financial, legal or law-enforcement areas. The evaluation is based on an assessment of the information provided by the evaluated state as well as results of a short-term on site visit of the evaluating team to the evaluated state.

The EAG member states appoint evaluators who receive appropriate training.

Training for evaluators is conducted by international experts of the EAG, FATF, UNODC, World Bank and IMF, as well as instructors from EAG member and observer states.

The EAG carried out 4 training seminars for evaluators from all member states:

***   EAG participated in APG Plenary meeting held on July 13 - 16, 2010 in Singapore    ***   EAG was granted associate member status within the FATF    ***   The EAG 12th Plenary took place in Almaty (Kazakhstan)   ***   EAG Working Groups intersessional meeting took place in Moscow (Russia) on March 29-31
