Mandate for Ad Hoc Working Group (AHWC) for Development and Implementation of Operational Guidance on the Implementation of FATF Recommendations
Membership/Term
The AHWC is created for an indefinite period until terminated by decision of an EAG plenary. Membership is open to all EAG members and observers.

Objectives
The AHWC will:
(i) identify areas where FATF recommendations and other international standards require further definition in order to become operationally useful and recommend them to the EAG Plenary for approval;
(ii) identify areas where information exchange and cooperation among EAG members can be improved by adoption of common operational definitions, processes, practices, activities, and so on;
(iii) identify areas where common definitions and approaches will yield benefits to EAG members in terms of training, operations, and development of national AML regimes;
(iv) prioritize identified areas for further elaboration;
(v) create subgroups of experts to elaborate on identified areas by providing specific and operationally useful recommendations for action and to assess whether research and development projects and technical assistance projects that are implemented for the benefit EAG member-countries comply with approved EAG operational recommendations;
(vi) review elaborated operational recommendations in identified areas and, in turn, make recommendations for adoption to anEAG plenary;
(vii) develop and coordinate tasks related to implementation of the approved EAG operational recommendations in the course of research and development and technical assistance projects that are being implemented for the benefit of EAG member countries.
Reporting
- The AHWC reports to the EAG Plenary meeting.
